Dental Hygiene
Helping you keep your teeth healthy and clean is our number one priority at Complete Dental Care! Your teeth are for your benefit and are meant and made to last throughout your life. This is only possible if you take care of them. Regular dental hygiene is an important part of keeping your teeth healthy and strong between visits to the dentist.
In-Office Dental Hygiene
To maintain oral health, we suggest that you come into our office twice a year to receive an exam, x-rays, and professional teeth cleaning. These cleanings are done with a special toothbrush and toothpaste that allows us to clean your teeth in such a way that they will be completely free of any build-up or plaque that you have accumulated. Feel free to ask us about best practices when flossing and cleaning your own teeth.
At these bi-yearly cleanings, we also suggest that you receive an exam from the dentist. These exams are important to your oral health because it allows the dentist to take a close look at your teeth catch and prevent any issues. The dentist will be able to spot cavities or problem areas that might need more attention. If you have a cavity, make sure to follow the council of our doctors, and get it taken care of before it gets worse.
At-Home Oral Hygiene
At-home dental hygiene habits are crucial to maintaining oral health. It is suggested that you brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss daily. Brushing once in the morning and once at night will keep your teeth free from bacteria and plaque build-up that can cause decay.
Not only is it important for you to brush twice a day, but it is also important to make sure you are brushing the correct way. Every time you brush your teeth, you should brush for at least two minutes making sure that you hit all surfaces to ensure cleanliness.
